AV Academy 2016 :: Why Attend? AV Magazine
Welcome to the AV Academy

Why attend the AV Academy?

Audio is everywhere. It’s an essential part of all AV systems and the primary method of getting the message across. So often we are let down by poorly designed and badly configured systems. Whilst sound mixes art with science, it is mostly based on good engineering practice. We’ll give you the tools and the skills to improve your audio.
There’s no excuse not to achieve exceptional sound.

InfoComm research lists audio as a key part of the business for the majority of AV companies, yet the survey also found that the majority lacked the technical skills or understanding of the audio market. This course seeks to address that, to enable AV and IT personnel to become far more confident when dealing with sound systems and issues related to sound.

Assess audio needs for a project
Identify and anticipate any issues that will impact on the audio system

"Recently we have seen that technical professionals have almost no opportunity to expand their skills. This course is unique in that it is not a product driven seminar. It takes a systems based approach, looking at what you are trying to achieve and giving you the understanding to then specify and use the right product in that situation"
- Roland Hemming, principal audio consultant, RH Consulting

“We expect attendees to leave the course with the confidence to specify sound systems for a wide variety of applications; the course is intended to be directly useful to your business”
- Richard Northwood, principal AV consultant, RH Consulting
